There were so many kindnesses during Hurricane Sandy from businesses in Great Neck that I want to acknowledge.  

The outstanding Station Branch staff of the Great  Neck Library worked tirelessly, and offered a place for the masses to converge, charge devices, read, and be comfortable day in and day out.  J&J Nail Salon offered nourishment, warmth, assistance, and continued friendship in their always-comfortable setting.  New York Health & Racquet Club was a home away from home for so many.  

To be able to see friends, exercise, shower, and feel the concern and warmth from the staff was a gift.  Esparks Coffee House was so gracious and welcoming, serving their delicious drinks, and allowing customers a wonderful place to regroup, re-charge literally and figuratively, and strike up new friendships.
