A gray sedan flipped on its side after crashing near the intersection of Marcus and Hillside avenues on Monday, injuring the driver.

The car lay across two lanes of traffic, its windshield shattered and one bumper lying feet away on the pavement.

A Nassau County police officer at the scene said the car hit a tree and flipped over. 

According to the officer, the driver was taken to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset with undisclosed injuries.

Police blocked off Marcus Avenue northbound, with drivers detouring down Greenway.
