Driver in critical condition after hitting tractor-trailer in Roslyn

A man is in critical condition after driving into the back of a tractor-trailer on Northern Boulevard in Roslyn Friday night, according to police.

The operator of the tractor-trailer, a 65-year-old man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries according to police.

Nassau County Police said that the 29-year-old man was driving a 2019 white Jeep Grand Cherokee on the eastbound lane of Northern Boulevard when he hit the back of the tractor-trailer at 11:34 p.m. on Friday.

Due to the collision, the driver of the Jeep was taken to a local hospital, where police said he is listed in critical condition.

Nassau County Police said the investigation of the car accident, which was reported by the homicide unit, is still ongoing. They did not release the names of the individuals involved in the accident.
