Mkosana, 27, spent the past two seasons with the Tampa Bay Rowdies. After joining the team in September 2013, the Zimbabwe native scored four goals in 34 appearances for Tampa Bay.
Following a standout career at Dartmouth, Mkosana was selected by the Chicago Fire in the second round (No. 23 overall) of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, but never signed for the Fire, opting instead to join the Harrisburg City Islanders. Mkosana scored 20 goals and tallied four assists in 41 games for the USL Pro club. In the 2013 season he tied a club single-season record with 13 goals and ended his stint at Harrisburg tied for third place on the franchise’s all-time scoring list.
“Lucky adds pace, strength, and is a goal-scoring threat,” head coach Giovanni Savarese said. “He gives our attacking options a real boost.”
