After an investigation, Kevin Rosales, 19, of Ocean Avenue in Brooklyn, was taken into custody “without incident” around 4:10 a.m., according to a news release. Rosales was in possession of keys to a 2019 Nissan Armada that had been reported stolen days earlier and was found nearby. Officials said the car was stolen in New York City.

Rosales was charged with second-degree, fourth-degree and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He was arraigned on Saturday in Nassau County Court and released on his own recognizance. His next date in court will be Sept. 21.
