A wish for Hanukkah to help ease Sandy’s pain

Today is a day of observance in the Jewish community to celebrate Hanukkah, the festival of lights. This holiday commemorates an act of great perseverance, dedication and hope by the Jewish people that resonates today with people of all faiths.

Keeping in our thoughts the many communities who continue their recovery efforts from Superstorm Sandy, may this holiday bring comfort and joy to all those affected.

I extend my warmest wishes to everyone celebrating Hanukkah this year.
