Herricks Read-A-Thon raises money for Ronald McDonald House

With the generosity of families and friends who sponsored students for reading to help support the Ronald McDonald House, the Herricks Middle School sixth grade raised more than $11,000 this past month.

The Ronald McDonald House is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of others to provide a home away from home for families with children who need medical attention from Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

In appreciation of their support, the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island has given the middle school another beautiful plaque in honor of the sixth-grade.
