Police are investigating an unauthorized intruder who entered Our Lady of Victory Parish Elementary School in Floral park on Tuesday morning.
No one was hurt and no property appears to be stolen from the school, Sean Dolan, Diocese of Rockville Centre’s director of communications, said in a statement.
The incident is under investigation by the Floral Park Police Department.
“The safety of the children and the security of the building is the number one priority,” Dolan said.
The intruder entered at approximately 12:06 a.m., and security cameras show the intruder leaving at approximately 2:20 a.m., according to Dolan.
The Floral Park Police Department declined to supply further information at this time.
