The Floral Park-Bellerose Board of Education shared their district goals for the year during their meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Superintendent Lisa Ruiz said the board met with district administration before the school year started and reviewed goal areas for the year.
The four goals for the board include fostering culture and communication, success and opportunities for all, exploration and innovation and maximizing resources in the district.
Ruiz went on to list the objectives and strategies for achieving each goal throughout the year and said administrators will also be developing action plans aligned with each goal.
“We will be reviewing data periodically, at least three times a year if not more often,” Ruiz said of tracking the goals.
Ruiz said the board will hold regular meetings with administrators to monitor and support progress, give monthly reports during meetings and distribute a family survey for updates, among other things.
The next meeting for the Floral Park-Bellerose Board of Education will be Monday, Nov. 13.
