Dos Toros Taqueria, a fast-casual, mission-style eatery recently opened the doors of its first Long Island location in New Hyde Park last Thursday.

The new spot, which can accommodate up to 66 patrons, is located at 1624 Marcus Ave. and is one of 19 restaurants making up the franchise in New York and New Jersey.

Mission-style refers to the Mission District neighborhood in San Francisco that became the home of the Mission burrito, which is larger than other versions and includes a steamed tortilla with melted cheese.

Brothers Leo and Oliver Kremer opened up their first taqueria 13 years ago in Union Square in Manhattan

“To us food equals community. We wanted to create a space with a vibey, welcoming setting where our guests can enjoy the food we grew up on,” Leo said in a statement. “We hope that through the care we put into our menu and our commitment to our New Hyde Park family and friends, we can spread the love beyond our doors and into the new neighborhood we serve.”

Dos Toros’ menu features recipes made from scratch with customizable burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads. The new location will also have “Share It” nacho options and customizable toppings.

During and after their opening week, Dos Toros will be offering 10% off meals to North Hospital staff and local high schoolers who show appropriate IDs. The taqueria also held a “Spread the Love Day” on Thursday where 100% of sales from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. went to the Northwell Health Foundation.

“Cohen Children’s is pleased to welcome a new neighbor, Dos Toros Taqueria, to New Hyde Park,” said the medical center’s executive director, Carolyn Quinn. “Proper nutrition is fundamental for the health of every child, and we are excited to partner with this community-oriented company whose Spread the Love Day will support our children’s hospital in our mission to deliver world-class pediatric care to patients.”

Dos Toros is open Sunday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. More information can be found at their website www.dostoros.com
