A man’s recently-purchased Apple Watch was stolen from his car while stopped at a red light in North New Hyde Park, police said.

After purchasing the watch from Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City on Saturday, June 24, the victim stopped at a near Lakeville Road and Fairfield Lane at 7:40 p.m.

While stopped, a white Hispanic man in his early 20s came out of a nearby gray Kia SUV being driven by an unknown female and broke the victim’s rear driver-side window with a center punch.

After removing the watch he went back into the SUV which fled eastbound on Evergreen Avenue.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call 1-800-244-TIPS or 911.
