NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE MANHASSET UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE COUNTY OF NASSAU, NEW YORK NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District, in the County of Nassau, New York, shall hold a Public Hearing during a regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Education on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Manhasset Schools District Office, 200 Memorial Place, Manhasset, NY 11030 for the purpose of discussing the following Board Resolution:WHEREAS the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District has determined that it is in the best interest of the District to appropriate existing funds from the District’s Repair Reserve Fund for the purpose of undertaking repairs and remediation work necessary to restore the Munsey Park Auditorium HVAC system(s) to code compliant operating condition (ìHVAC Repairsî); now, therefore BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District authorizes the following appropriation and expenditure from the District’s Repair Reserve Fund to fund the aforementioned repairs and remediation work: an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000) for the purpose of funding the HVAC Repairs; and authorizes and directs the Superintendent of Schools and/or his designees to undertake the necessary steps to effectuate and undertake the aforementioned repair work in accordance with this resolution, including the execution of contracts for services and/or the purchase of supplies, material or equipment in connection therewith, in accordance with this resolution.
