LEGAL NOTICE OF BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to law, that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Village of Port Washington North, located at 3 Pleasant Avenue, Port Washington, New York 11050, on April 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of considering the following application: The application of Charlene Berkman, as applicant and as owner of the premises located at 6 Morgan Place, Port Washington, New York. Which is Section 4 Block Q Lot 6 of the Nassau County Tax Map. The premises are located in Residence C of the Port Washington North Zoning Code. Applicant and owner seek variances for an addition to the first floor and interior alterations to the existing premises. Pursuant to Section 176-33, of the Port Washington North Village Code, the minimum rear yard depth is twenty five (25) feet. The rear yard depth of the proposed addition would leave the rear yard depth at 6.2 feet. Therefore, the applicant is seeking a variance of 18.8 feet to complete the proposed addition. Pursuant to Section 176-34 the minimum aggregate width of the side yard is thirteen (13) feet. The side yard minimum aggregate of the proposed addition would leave the side yard aggregate width of 5.7 feet. Therefore, the applicant is seeking a variance of 7.3 feet to complete the proposed addition. At said public hearing all parties interested will be given an opportunity to be heard Copies of the proposed plans are on file with the Village Hall and may be seen during normal business hours.
