PLEASE TAKE NOTICEThe Board of Trustees of the Village of Kings Point will hold public hearings at 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Village Hall, 32 Steppingstone Lane, Kings Point, New York 11024, with respect to Bills 8A and 10 of 2022, which read, respectively, as follows:1. †Bill 8A of 2022, a local law defining word “person” in the Code of the Village of Kings Point.Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village Kings Point.Section 1. †ß 84-24, Penalties for offenses, of Chapter 84, Fire Prevention and Building Construction, of the Code of the Village of Kings Point, is hereby amended by adding a new subsection D, to read as follows:ìD. For the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the meaning indicated:PERSON – Includes the owner, tenant, occupant, or vendee in possession, assignee of rents, receiver, executor, trustee, lessee, sublessee, agent, or any other individual, firm, or corporation directly or indirectly in control of any premises, building, or part thereof.îSection 2. The definition of “person” in ß 117-1, Purpose; definitions, of Chapter 117, Property Maintenance, of said Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:PERSON – Includes the owner, tenant, occupant, or vendee in possession, assignee of rents, receiver, executor, trustee, lessee, sublessee, agent, or any other individual, firm, or corporation directly or indirectly in control of any premises, building, or part thereof.îSection 3. †Effective date. †This local law shall take effect immediately.2. †Bill 10 of 2022, A local law Amending ß137-35, Community Benefit Fund Fee, of Article VIII, Community Benefit Fund, of Chapter 137, Subdivision of Land, of the Code of the Village of Kings Point.Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village Kings Point.Section 1. §137-35, Community Benefit Fund Fee, of Article VIII, Community Benefit Fund, of Chapter 137, Subdivision of Land, of the Code of the Village of Kings Point, is hereby amended, to read as follows:§ 137-35. Community Benefit Fund Fee.In addition to such other fees as may be required for the granting of a subdivision application, every grant of a subdivision shall include the requirement that the developer pay to the Community Benefit Fund two and three quarters percent of the fair market value of all of the lots within the subdivision, based upon their value after the granting of the subdivision application, excluding, however, the fair market value of any buildings located thereon.îSection 2.
