Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. B. Project Identification: New Hyde Park Department of Public Works Renovations. 1. Project Location: 498 Stewart Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. C. Owner: Village of New Hyde Park. 1. Owner’s Representative: Calgi Construction Company, Inc. 56 Lafayette Avenue, Suite 350, White Plains, NY 10603. D. Architect: Smith & Pucillo Architects, 27 New Street, Katonah, NY 10536. E. Construction Manager: Calgi Construction Company, Inc. 56 Lafayette Avenue, Suite 350, White Plains, NY 10603. F. Project Description: Project consists of demolition of portions of existing DPW facility including selective and building demolition, new foundations, custom modular wood-frame office building, frame supported membrane salt shed, metal building system garage, limited modifications to remaining garage structure, new utilities, and associated renovations to site and repaving of existing parking area. 1. Project cost range is anticipated to be under Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00). G. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: a. General Building Construction.b. Plumbing Construction.c. Mechanical Construction.d. Electrical Construction. 1.2 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING A. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: 1. Bid Date: March 26, 2024.2. Bid Time: 1:00 p.m., local time.3. Location: New Hyde Park Village Hall, 1420 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, N.Y. 11040. B. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. 1.3 BID SECURITY A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.4 PREBID MEETING A. Prebid Meeting: A Prebid meeting for all bidders will be held at New Hyde Park Department of Public Works, 498 Stewart Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY, on March 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM, local time. Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend. 1. Bidders’ Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders’ questions received up to two business days prior to conference. 1.5 DOCUMENTS A. Online Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain access after February 23, 2024, by contacting Calgi Construction via email at dchen@calgiconstruction.com. Online access will be provided to all registered bidders and suppliers. 1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. 1.7 BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. 1.8 NOTIFICATION A. This Advertisement for Bids document is issued by Village of New Hyde Park.
