The Village of Kings Point approved a traffic study for Middle Neck Road on Tuesday to be conducted by Nelson and Pope, an engineering consulting firm.
The primary objective of the study is to assess traffic flow and safety.
The study follows the village receiving six license plate reader cameras and six speed radar signs, to increase security and address traffic concerns in the village’s busiest areas.
The license plate readers are intended to help monitor suspicious vehicles and track fleeing suspects by neighboring law enforcement agencies.
