A Little Neck man allegedly attempted to rob a Great Neck Plaza pizzeria he previously worked at last week, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Frank Prestia, 26, formerly worked at a pizza place in Great Neck Plaza, the specific location of which was not disclosed in the police report. Prestia was aware that he was not allowed back on the business’ premises “due to past incidents,” officials said.
On Aug. 1 just before noon, Presita allegedly went to the pizzeria and threatened the present employees with a knife and demanded they give him money, Nassau police said. The store’s manager detained Prestia until police arrived at the scene.
No injuries were reported from the incident, but efforts to reach officials for further information on the incident were unavailing.
Prestia was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree menacing, first-degree attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth and third degrees, police said. He was scheduled to be arraigned last week at the First District Court in Hempstead.
