The Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department Thursday extinguished a Village of Thomaston street sweeper truck that was fully engulfed in flames in Great Neck.

First responders were called to the corner of Susquehanna Avenue and South Middle Neck Road in Great Neck at 9:39 a.m. Thursday morning, the department said.

Company No.’s 3 and 4 in Great Neck and No. 1 in Manhasset responded to the scene. The first responders were released from the scene approximately one hour after being dispatched.

No injuries were reported at the scene, according to the department.
