Running unopposed, Jacob N. Schwartz was elected village justice in North Hills on Tuesday with 50 votes.
Schwartz will fill the seat left vacant with the death of former Village Justice Jerome Reisman.
Schwartz secured a three-year term under the Homeowner Party. There were no write-in votes.
Previously, Schwartz served as the associate village justice in the Village of North Hills.
The village clerk said Schwartz declined to be interviewed.
Reisman, the former village justice, died Jan. 21. He had served as the village justice since 2019 and was previously the associate village justice.
