Schneps Media LI Seeking Interns for 2024

Schneps Media LI is seeking interns to work in the editorial department of one of the region’s premier news and lifestyle publications covering Nassau County.
Schneps Media LI was created by the merger of Blank Slate Media and the Anton Media Group to form a group of 10 newspapers covering all of North Hempstead and Oyster Bay.
The papers are the Great Neck News Record, Manhasset Press, Port Washington News, Roslyn News Record, New Hyde Park Floral Park Herald Courier, Mineola Williston Times, Nassau Illustrated News, Glen Cove Oyster Bay Record Pilot, Syosset Jericho News Tribune and the Nassau Observer.
The two groups have earned hundreds of honors for their editorial excellence from local, New York State, and journalism organizations.
Interns at the Press will get hands-on newsroom experience working with seasoned professionals. They will research, report, and write news and feature stories to be published in the weekly print editions and on the daily website.
Spring internships are available in the fall, spring and summer. Applicants should be college students majoring in English, journalism, or communications. Experience writing for a school newspaper is encouraged but not required. Students must earn college credit for their participation in the internship program.
