Join us at the Port Washington Public Library on Thursday, July 6, at 7:00 pm as we welcome Morley Nkosi, Ph.D., to hear the compelling story of his life in exile and his return and adjustment to life in Africa.
Nkosi was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1960 during Apartheid, Nkosi fled South Africa and lived in various parts of Africa, Europe, and the United States during decades of exile.
While his early education was completed in South Africa, he earned his BS, MBA, and Ph.D. in economics in the United States. Nkosi’s career has spanned over 40 years, and he has served in academics and as an economist and businessperson.
Since his return to South Africa in 1991, Nkosi has been an executive of numerous businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Nkosi has been a social and political activist devoted to progressive values and movements at the community level, nationally, and internationally.
