Ron Gross, the long-time leader of the monthly Socrates Salon at the Great Neck Library, will address the National Coalition of Independent Scholars on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. EST.
According to Dr. Amanda Haste, president of the Coalition, “Ron has celebrated, articulated, and passionately espoused the contributions of maverick intellectuals ranging from Freud, Marx, Darwin, and Einstein, to contemporaries like Rachel Carson, Betty Friedan, Hannah Arendt, and Buckminster Fuller.”
