Great Neck Library Author Event & Book Signing with Dan Paisner

November 1st is National Author’s Day. Come celebrate with the Great Neck Library and meet author Dan Poisner.

A provocative, comedic, tender and contemplative treatise on middle age, social media, art and belonging, Daniel Paisner’s “Balloon Dog” is an unconventional if pitch-perfect read for fans of Carl Hiaasen capers and Jonathan Franzen tales of domestic angst.

Set in the pre-COVID spring and fall of 2018, the story turns on the ill-conceived theft of an iconic Jeff Koons sculpture, lifted in plain sight from its perch beside a luxurious mountain home, asking the question: what happens when the life you are living is no longer the life you imagined?

Daniel Paisner is one of publishing’s leading ghostwriters with over 70 books and 17 New York Times bestsellers to his name. He has been profiled by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and NPR, and called “the world’s most prolific ghost” by New York Magazine.

Books will be available for purchase and signing at this event. For more information, please contact Great Neck Library at (516) 466-8055 or email adultprogramming@greatnecklibrary.org.
