Gold Coast Arts’ dance students took center stage at this year’s Festival of the Arts 2022 Dance Recital, which took place on May 22 at Great Neck South Middle School.
Longtime Gold Coast Arts parent Kim Kaiman welcomed the talented dancers, their families and friends to the event and kicked off the ever-popular dance recital to great applause.
“This year’s recital showcased the hard work and talent of students, ages 4 – 16, who worked all year perfecting their ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical routines,” said Ellen Schiff, school director.
The audience was also wowed by Gold Coast’s award-winning Dance Competition Team who performed several numbers at the event.
Megan Clancy, head of the Center’s dance department and its Competition Dance division, added, “Our faculty is incredibly proud of all our students, and we look forward to cheering on our Competition Team at Nationals this July!”
Dance is one of Gold Coast Arts most popular departments with new classes regularly being added to the schedule. A few spots are still available for GCA’s 1-week Summer Dance Camp (Aug. 15-19) and registration for Fall classes begins in July.
