Annual Long Island Comedy Festival set to kick off

This summer marks the 14 year anniversary of the now famous Long Island Comedy Festival.

The Long Island Comedy Festival’s primary mission is to promote the art of live stand-up comedy, with each performance featuring the best comic talent from Long Island, the New York City comedy scene and around the globe. In past summers the comedy festival has presented comedians from as far away as Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Many of the comedians featured can only be seen at the annual summer comedy festival, which makes it a special event for Long Islanders. The festival’s comedy showcases are best described as a comedy party that audiences are invited to, featuring non-stop laughter and hilarious fun.

“We are just so excited to be marking 14 years of bringing the annual summer comedy festival to many of the great venues all across Long Island,” said comedian, official host and executive producer Paul Anthony. “Long Islanders have really been supportive of our comedy showcases over the past 13 summers, and for that we are forever grateful. The 14 year mark is really a testament to Long Islanders passion for live stand-up comedy performances.”

New this summer is the return of the 50+ Comedy Tour, which features line-ups of comedians all over the age of 50. Also returning this summer is the Moms’ Night Out Long Island show, featuring a line-up of comedians with one thing in common – they’re all moms.
