From the Director
The library is collaborating with Sen. Jack Martins for his “Fill a Backpack” Program. The program will run from July 8 to August 16, and the library is a drop-off point for supplies. New, unused supplies needed include but are not limited to, backpacks, lunch boxes, pencil cases, markers, erasers, glue sticks, rulers, and calculators. Flyers will be available with a full list of supplies.
The summer 2024 Reading Program theme is in full swing! Our program will run from June 29-August 10. There’s still time to register. The program schedule is listed in this column and our Facebook page.
We are suspending donation acceptance until further notice. We are at storage capacity. Please consider donating to The Book Fairies. Their contact number is 516-557-6645.
The Williston Park Fire Department will hold a blood drive on Wednesday, July 24, from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the firehouse, 454 Willis Ave. Appointments are strongly encouraged. Please call 800-933-BLOOD.
