Happening at the Williston Park Library

From the Director

The library is collaborating with Sen. Jack Martins for his “Fill a Backpack” Program. The program will run from July 8-Aug. 16, and the library is a drop off point for supplies. New, unused supplies needed include but are not limited to: backpacks, lunchboxes, pencil cases, markers, erasers, glue sticks, rulers, and calculators. Flyers will be available with a full list of supplies.

Please be aware that the NY Hall of Science will be closed Aug. 26-Sept. 10 due to the U.S. Open, and the LI Children’s Museum will be closed September 9-27 for their fall cleanup.  Passes to these museums will be unavailable during this time.

The summer 2024 Reading Program theme is in full swing!  We understand some families are on vacation or kids are at camp.  We’re extending the reporting time until August 31.

We are suspending donation acceptance until further notice.  We are at storage capacity.  Please consider donating to The Book Fairies.  Their contact number is 516-557-6645.

The library is still distributing Covid-19 tests while supplies last.  Please ask at the Reference Desk.
