St. Francis Hospital Mobile Health Outreach Bus

Friday, June 16, 10 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. FREE In-Person Health Screenings! The screenings include a brief cardiac history, blood pressure, simple blood test for Cholesterol, and Diabetes screenings with appropriate patient education and referrals as needed for clients above the age of 18.

In-Person: Library Plant and Garden Group – 1st Floor Modular Room

Tuesday, June 20, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  Calling all gardeners, of all levels and interests!  Join the Plant and Garden Club and exchange seeds, rooted cuttings, and plants with fellow gardeners of all skills and interests.  Let’s discuss composting, annuals and perennials, indoor and outdoor gardens, container gardens, terrariums (make your own!), and your problems and successes!   Sessions meet June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. No registration necessary.

Armchair Historians Book Club – 1st Floor Modular Room and Virtual

Wednesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. The book being discussed is: American Midnight: The Great War, a Violent Peace, and Democracy’s Forgotten Crisis by Adam Hochschild.  A reassessment of the overlooked period between World War I and the Roaring Twenties, when the foundations of American democracy were threatened by war, pandemic, and violence fueled by battles over race, immigration, and the rights of labor.

Tuesday, June 20 at 4:30 p.m. Ages: 7 – 10 years. Explore solar systems in a galaxy far, far away during this fun Star Wars-themed program. Learn about the solar system, design a mission to explore a planet, and build a Star Wars Model Spacecraft!

Time for Kids: Daddy Dog! – All Purpose Room

Friday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. Ages: 3 – 7 years (with parent/caregiver). Come join A Time for Kids, Inc. as we explore in this family fun preschool program all about Woof Woof, Dogs! Activities inclue music, movement, fine & gross motor development and storytelling! There will also be a dog craft!
