North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Council Member Veronica Lurvey unveiled a new playground at Mary Jane Davies Green in Manhasset on May 22. The playground was designed with the idea of incorporating the surrounding Manhasset community into the design and includes elements of the Long Island Railroad and local fire department by including a train and fire truck in the playground.
The playground also contains a custom porous rubber surface which is seamless and slip resistant. Children can enjoy a locomotive with tunnels, slides, ladders, a spiral twist and bridge.
