Town officials, Great Neck Chinese Association promote unity

Town officials join with the Great Neck Chinese Association and local community leaders to condemn hate and intolerance.

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Council Member Veronica Lurvey joined with the Great Neck Chinese Association as they held a press conference at the Village of Great Neck Plaza’s Village Hall condemning the recent defacing of the organization’s banner in the downtown area.

Residents, local officials, and the police department joined together to speak out against hate and reminded the community to report any incidents of discrimination and hate, while working toward being more inclusive for all.
