Plandome Road and Richards Road, the crosswalk will allow for safe pedestrian and bike traffic in the area. Additionally, a pedestrian crosswalk safety system was added, allowing individuals to press a button when they wish to cross.

Council Member Dalimonte worked with the Port Washington Estates Civic Association, including its former president Gavin Pike, to turn the project into a reality. The Civic Association has been advocating for safer streets since 1962. Council Member Dalimonte, along with the town’s Department of Public Works, helped develop the plan to help improve safety for all.
