The Harborside in Port Washington has appointed Brooke Navarre as its president and CEO and Pamela Landman as its senior vice president and general counsel.
The not-for-profit The Harborside offers seniors a secure independent retirement lifestyle with extensive amenities and a full range of social and educational programs and activities.
An experienced property management and finance professional, Navarre joined The Harborside in 2015 as its assistant executive director.
She was promoted to executive director in 2017. In her career prior to The Harborside, she managed luxury high-rise cooperatives on Central Park West and oversaw the day-to-day operation of a 2,900-unit cooperative corporation in Queens.
“Making a difference in the lives of our residents every day drives our team’s sense of purpose,” said Navarre. “We make relationship building a priority and our residents and staff are connected as a truly unique Harborside family.”
Over the past 25 years, Landman has represented charitable, educational, health care and religious organizations on a wide variety of corporate and regulatory issues and has considerable experience counseling life plan communities in connection with the development and ongoing operation of facilities.
She previously provided legal services to Amsterdam Continuing Care Health System Inc. and its affiliates, including The Harborside, as an attorney in private practice and was appointed general counsel in 2019.
“I am honored to be part of The Harborside family and have the opportunity to serve our community and make a difference in the lives of others,” said Landman. “I am dedicated to furthering our mission of redefining age as a time for new discoveries in an atmosphere of trust and support.”
“The Harborside has embraced a skillful and experienced leadership team in CEO and President Brooke Navarre, and Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Pamela Landman. Ms. Navarre has demonstrated a deep commitment to shaping the foundational values and overarching goals of the organization. Her expertise in strategic planning and management reflects the high standards of excellence of The Harborside,” commented Board Chairman Joseph Hoopes.
“Similarly, Ms. Landman is known for her expertise and distinguished career in counseling life plan communities and demonstrates unparalleled integrity as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. We are confident that the promotion of two valued members of our senior leadership team will ensure The Harborside’s continued growth, success, and innovation,” he said.
