Kindergarten students in Lisa Richards’ STEAM classes at Hampton Street School in the Mineola Union Free School District honored the fall season by using pumpkins to reinforce their STEAM skills.
After completing lessons on units of measure, kindergartners measured the height and weight of their pumpkins and showed their results in a class chart. They used this information to predict whether the pumpkins would sink or float.
