Mineola High School students Urja Patela and Julia Therassi each earned the 2022 Students Building Bridges Award from the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island. Patela and Therassi are co-presidents of school’s Student Service Center, an organization dedicated to community outreach.
Students are recognized with this award for working to help create a more civil society, volunteering, building ties across different communities and working on intergenerational projects.
