Sewanhaka students’ artwork selected for LIU Post exhibit

Sewanhaka High School students Jackson Shamoun and Makayla Simpson had their artwork featured in LIU Post’s “Advanced Visions 17: High School Artists of Excellence” exhibit. Their work was displayed in the S.A.L Gallery from Feb. 7 to March 2.

Thirty-five student-artists, who are enrolled in Advanced Placement art courses in schools across Long Island, had their work selected for display in the annual exhibit. Shamoun and Simpson are in Allison Filippone’s AP Studio Art class.
