Roslyn Middle School’s students returned to the stage this past weekend to put on four performances of the musical, The Addams Family.
“It is with tremendous anticipation and enthusiasm that Roslyn Middle School Spotlight players present, The Addams Family, said Director Christina Cinnamo. “After an extended bout of time apart, we could not be more grateful for this opportunity to share physical space and return to the art of theater as we know it.”
The two-act musical featured leads Dylan Sakaria and Sabrina Fabricant in the roles of Gomez and Morticia Addams. It tells the story of love and friendship through adversity, with a comical and poignant spin. The creepy, kooky, and ghoulish family encounters an unforeseen obstacle when their daughter Wednesday decides to introduce her new “normal” boyfriend and his family to her clan. As the families come together for dinner, chaos ensues and the two parties find themselves admitting deep secrets, coming together in ways they never would have imagined.
