
Two Roslyn High School students placed second and third at the Long Island Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) finals — held Saturday, Feb. 24.
Senior Cayden Shen took second place for his near infrared spectrometer and sophomore Tessla Chan placed third for her work on differentiating subtypes of leukemia. Both qualified for a trip to the national JSHS, which will be held May 20, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. In addition to competing in Albuquerque, the students will receive the opportunity to tour various national labs.
