Roslyn’s Forensics Speech and Debate team competed at the annual Harvard University competition over the President’s Day weekend.
There were 239 participants in junior Lincoln Douglas Debate with Roslyn students placing as follows:
- sophomore Andrew Goldberg — 1st place and 5th speaker
- junior Anthony Barisano — Quarterfinalist and 6th speaker
- sophomore Daleep Grewal — Octofinalist
- junior Ryan Kim — Triple Octofinalist
- junior Arielle Fishler — Triple Octofinalist and 19th speaker
- sophomore Yasin Badawy — 20th speaker
Varsity Lincoln Douglas had 253 participants and juniors Asher Bykov and Brandon Lee were Triple Octofinalists.
The club’s advisor is Maryam Tazari and Linda Mohlenhoff is the assistant advisor.
