The Port Washington Crisis Relief Team (PWCRT) and American Red Cross of Long Island will partner once again to conduct a Home Fire Preparedness event. The event will be held on Sunday, June 9 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Even if residents already have smoke detectors in their homes, volunteers will test them and determine whether additional units are recommended. A fire emergency escape plan can be discussed and fire safety education information will be provided for families to review.
