North Hempstead honors Port Washington residents for volunteer efforts

The Town of North Hempstead was proud to welcome Port Washington resident Jonathan Gold to Town Hall on Feb. 22.

Supervisor Jennifer DeSena and Council Member Mariann Dalimonte were on hand to recognize Jonathan and his brother David (not pictured) for their volunteer efforts to help their local community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They presented a proclamation of recognition to Jonathan to thank him for his dedication and commitment to helping others.

Together Jonathan and David started “Can You Help Too” which aims to collect necessities and canned goods for local pantries.

The Gold brothers have partnered with local businesses such as the Growing Love Community Garden, the Sands Point Preserve, Beautyfluff, Party Favors & More, and the Port Washington Public Library to create easy and convenient drop-off locations for residents.
