The Port Washington Public Library invites you to our second outdoor Earth Day celebration at Sunset Park.
Back by popular demand, Tony Traguardo, the Library’s resident musicologist and Media Librarian, will lead a band of local musicians in a rocking concert of well-known hits at the Sousa Bandshell. In addition, representatives from the Town of North Hempstead and other Port Washington environmental organizations will be on-site with important information about their latest sustainability initiatives.
Stop by their tables to have a conversation about going green. Enter a raffle for a chance to win a TONH Rain Barrel for your garden. Take home some cool environmental swag. Bring your kids to the children’s table to make a fun eco craft.
Most of all, enjoy the music, the water view, and discover important ways YOU can make a difference by making our community a healthy and sustainable one.
Visit PWPL.org/earthday for more information. Event is free. Earth Day events are funded by the Port Washington Public Library Friends of the Library.
