Interested in growing food, but not sure how to start?

Through this live, virtual class Sat, March 20, 2021, 11:00 am-1:00 pm will learn the basics from Queens Farm’s experienced farmers so you can plan your vegetable garden with confidence.

Get useful tips on how to turn any backyard site into a garden, choose your crops, propagate plants, care for seedlings, encourage pollinators, and more. The class will emphasize organic methods so that you can grow fresh, healthy food that’s good for your body and good for the planet.

Instructor Melanie Pylarinos is the farm manager at Queens Farm. She holds a Certificate in Horticulture from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and her favorite crops to grow are hot peppers and herbs.
