Nassau County Legislator Richard Nicolello recently secured $48,000 in community revitalization funds to purchase two automated external defibrillator units, two thermal imaging cameras, and six “Air Paks” for the Plandome Fire Department.

In addition, a radio base station was purchased to replace the Department’s outdated 30-year-old equipment.

These projects were identified by Fire Chief John Furlong and Village of Plandome Mayor M. Lloyd Williams and brought to the Legislator’s attention in 2016.

The new safety equipment will be used to provide enhanced capability for firefighters at emergency scenes and to save lives.
