“This sixth-grade Technology Education elective called ‘LEGO Robotics’ is a jump start into the world of design and programming at North Shore Middle School,” said teacher Mr. Keith Slack.

He continued, “My students use LEGO kits to design, build and program robots. Additionally, they discover how to build a robot with motors and sensors to use code to complete specific tasks.”

Once these young engineers master the LEGO Robot sensors and motors, they can design attachments to complete missions from FIRST LEGO League, a national robotics competition.

Mr. Slack concluded, “This course is great for any students that want to build robots and learn programming!”
