Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Town Clerk Wayne Wink attended the Westbury NAACP branch’s 13th bi-annual Freedom Fund and Awards Luncheon on Feb. 29 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
This year’s theme was “When We Fight, We Win,” and featured Dr. Eddie S. Glaude Jr., chairman of the African American studies department at Princeton University, as the keynote speaker. The NAACP event also honored Bishop Lionel Harvey as their adult honoree and Jahshua Taylor as their youth honoree.
