The Town of North Hempstead celebrated Pride Month on Wednesday, June 9 in front of Town Hall. Town officials were joined by New York State Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and President and CEO of the LGBT Network David Kilmnick.
“We are so proud to be hosting the first Pride Day flag-raising ceremony at Town Hall,” said North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “North Hempstead is a community that fully embraces our diversity and inclusion for all.
By raising the Pride flag, we are not only celebrating Pride Month, but also recognizing the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals have had on history.
