At the March 10 Herricks Board of Education meeting, the board recognized nine seniors who were named National Merit Semifinalists in the fall and have advanced to Finalist standing in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These students are academically accomplished students and achieved the Semifinalist distinction based on their Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test scores. They attained Finalist recognition by meeting high academic standards along with other requirements.
