New Hyde Park Varsity Softball beat Seaford 8 to 6.
Katie Hopkins went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBIs and two runs scored to lift New Hyde Park (1-2) in Nassau A-II.
Hopkins hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give the Gladiators a 7-5 lead.
Angelina Fernandez’s double earlier in the inning drove in three runs and tied the score at 5.
Claire Mikowski struck out one over four innings to earn the win for New Hyde Park.
