New Hyde Park’s Dr. Shirley Hanna was honored on Sunday, Nov. 5 by the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Queens during its third Gala Dinner.

Hanna, an internist who practices at NYU Langone in Mineola, was recognized for spearheading medical care that saved the life of seminary rector Father Julio Sanchez when he was sick with pancreatitis last year. The seminary is part of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
