New Hyde Park paints for a cure

New Hyde Park Memorial High School students and teachers gathered after school on Oct. 18 to paint pumpkins pink to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Each participant donated $5 to take part in the event. This was one of many activities held throughout the month as part of the school’s Pink October. A special thanks to art teacher Danielle Livote for organizing the event.
